Description
Lithium soap thickener, is prepared by selected and finely filtered materials, according to pre-designed formulation ,under clean room and via saponification,dehydration, dispersion process.Using lithium soap thickener, users can make their lithium soap grease easily. The high cleanliness property of this product is prerequisite of clean and pure end product, which is a basis for excellent bearing vibration characteristics.Lithium soap thickener has a characteristic of quality consistency and stability so as to reduce user’s time and cost for purchasing, storage, manufacturing, safety & environment protection. We provide fully technical support, preparing and providing proper process according to user’s facility.
Use instructionsThe products are hygroscopic, they are suggested to be sealed while storing.The products tend to form lumps after long term storage, but they do not affect application, but the lump should be smashed before use.The products contain some small particulate, which are easy to float, keep the workplace ventilated and pay attention to operators' safety to prevent human inhale and dust-explosion duet to the dust accumulation.For more details, please refer to the SDS.
Direction for use of lithium thickener powder
1. 2/3 of total oil is fed into kettle, heated to 80°C, add metered thickener powder, then heated to 130°Cgradually.
2. Once temperature reaches 130°C,heated rapidly to 215°C, hold for 5 minutes.
3. Remained 1/3 oil is fed into kettle to quench,keep blending until the temperature reaches 170°C-180°C(holding for 10 minutes).
4. After 10 minutes,add additives when temperature drops to 110°C, blending and recycling for 30 minutes, using three roll mill or high pressure homogenizer to treat the grease, high pressure homogenizer pressure is recommended at no less than 20 MPa.

Recommendation above is based on 500N base oil. Thickener structure,viscosity or type of base oil,paocess and additives orfillers all will impact thickening capability of pre-formed thickener, it is suggested that further adjustment to be made based on recommended dosage. |
